Condition notes versus the listing’s own metadata
The host’s metadata tells you the token. A condition note tells you whether the cover file matches the solicitation you thought you reserved.
We do not grade NFT comic files the way a slab grades paper. There is no board colour, no spine tick, no amateur restoration of white. What we can do is write whether the cover file matches the solicitation.
A condition note at this desk names the event, the variant letter, the artist credit on the file, and any mismatch with the host’s text. If the listing says wraparound and the file is a cropped single figure, that sentence goes on the note.
Metadata fields such as token id and edition size are copied as published. We do not “correct” a host’s edition number from memory. If two sources disagree, both numbers appear with their sources.
Collectors sometimes ask us to guess floor prices. We refuse. A condition note is about the cover in front of us, not about what a later buyer might pay.
If you already hold the file, send a screenshot of the listing page and the cover itself. Matching from a filename alone is how wrong variants enter a bundle.
