Timing a reservation request before the drop window
Five working days is a desk, not a slogan. Windows under 72 hours need different honesty.
The reservation desk reads a solicitation before it files a hold. That reading is why we quote five to ten working days. A message sent on Friday night about a Sunday window is not a reservation request; it is a hope.
If the published window is more than two weeks away, send the issue title, variant letter, artist credit, and the host’s clock. We can usually return a note with time to spare for your own decision.
If the window is inside ten days, say so in the first line. Niran will either take it as rush work or decline. Declining is kinder than a silent queue.
Windows under 72 hours are rarely accepted. The cover still has to be checked against the listing file. We would rather you sit the drop yourself with a briefing sheet than pretend a hold landed.
Collectors in Bangkok sometimes bring a print-out to a cafe table three days before the window. That hour is a briefing, billed separately. It does not replace the written reservation if you still want a hold.
